Siavash Tahmoures to bring ‘Rumi’ on stage

Iranian actor Siavash Tahmoures has decided to bring on stage the play ‘Rumi’ in 2020.

Tahmoures says almost 17 years ago he had a plan for a play based on the life of the globally known Persian poet Rumi. As he mentions, his previous attempts to direct the play were futile.  

Writing the play is currently underway and the veteran actor is going to bring on stage the play in Vahdat Hall.

As Tahmoures clears, the audience will get to know Rumi at the beginning of the play. Then, they will be presented with the meeting of Rumi and his spiritual leader Sham Tabrizi.

Tahmoures consulted the play with three academics who studied Rumi and Farsi literature.  

According to Tahmoures, the play has many actors. Also, a credible singer and a well-known composer will accompany the performance.

The actor has appeared in a number of ifilm series and movies including ‘The Decius City’, ‘The Enigma of the Shah’, ‘The Line’, ‘A Passenger to Ray’, etc.
